In 1999, Edgar Corbiere founded the Haying in the 30's Cancer Support Society to assist people in the local area who had been diagnosed with cancer.

Haying in the 30's is about reliving in the past using horse drawn equipment. This event has grown every year, and with the donations we receive, we have extended our help to the entire Lakeland area and beyond.

Haying in the 30's is held once a year on the August long weekend. Over 50 volunteers work throughout the year to put this event together. It takes a week to get the equipment moved and operating for the event. All of the costs for this function are paid for by volunteers and sponsors in the Lakeland area. All we ask from the public is a donation.

100% of donations are given to cancer  victims.
